5th Baron - Gold Leaf
Lighter version of the Belgian Trappists.
Brewer's notes: On the nose, the esters of the monastic yeast mixture (cloves and a little orange zest) take center stage. The body of the beer is quite thin and highly carbonated. To the taste, we initially find the citrus fruits brought by the yeast esters and finally the sip ends on a persistent clove. The final bitterness is rather low and balances nicely with the little residual sugar.
